Hanuman crushes Ravana's soul container (Thai Ramayana mural)

Hanuman crushes Ravana’s soul container, as shown in a mural detail at the Emerald Buddha Temple. Balancing on his right leg, Hanuman grips the wooden cylinder with both hands and his left foot. Hanuman’s face looks to the right side of the frame with his mouth wide open in triumph. Hanuman is dressed in gold pants and jewelry with a red waistband, whose cloth ends fly out on the right.

Having located Ravana’s soul container in the demon underworld, Hanuman waits until Rama shoots Ravana with an arrow. Hanuman then crushes Ravana’s soul container at the same time so that Ravana will finally die.
