Description: The 40-foot by 140-foot brick-and-granite memorial honors police officers, firefighters, EMS employees and emergency communicators from Alamance County who died in the line of duty since 1934. Each name is engraved on a granite memorial. The site includes a a 75-foot brick walkway leading to a circle with two 8-foot structures opened up like a book displaying the names of the fallen heroes and prayers for each respective division. The space has also places for contemplation.

Subject notes: The project has taken nearly five years for it to become a reality and it serves as a special reminder to the families of fallen heroes who've served so diligently in Alamance County. On May 18, 2013, the monument lists nine police officers, four firefighters, and two EMS workers who have lost their lives while on duty since 1934. According to the Memorial's official website, "the criteria for the remembrance on this memorial is the Line of Duty Death serving the citizens of Alamance County or born in Alamance County and have died elsewhere as an Emergency Services worker serving another community. This memorial incorporates all of the Emergency Services that protects and serves our County."

Location: The monument is located on the South side of the Alamance Children's Museum, at 217 S. Main St., Graham.
