Description: This memorial plaque is dedicated to men from Nash County who gave their lives in military service during the Korean War. The marker is made of bronze or brass, with raised lettering, and the bas-relief figure of the American eagle adorns the top of the frame.

Subject notes: The effort to memorialize Korean War veterans and those fallen in the war from Nash County was taken up by the County Board of Commissioners at the request of Chairman Mayo. Separate plaques for the Korean and Vietnam Wars were sponsored by the board at a combined cost of $2,500.

Location: The plaque sits on the exterior wall at the entrance to the Nash County Courthouse.

Landscape: The entrance to the courthouse is surrounded by manicured lawn and plantings, and Visquesney's Spirit of the American Doughboy statue sits several feet to the left side of the pillars at the entrance.
